The role of social partners in developing the Latvian Qualifications Framework: problems and solutions
On May 11 (2012) the Academic Information Centre as the National Coordination Point for EQF arranged a seminar „The role of social partners in developing the Latvian Qualifications Framework: problems and solutions”, which was held in Riga, Latvia.
This seminar was targeted at sectoral experts, who are interested in elaboration of sectoral qualifications frameworks and the improvement of the Latvian Qualifications Framework (LQF). The agenda includes issues related both to the role of Sectoral Expert Councils in developing the Latvian Qualifications Framework and to the meaning of the EQF and LQF in the research of sectors. During the seminar there were analysed European mobility documents that are significant in labour market and include reference to the EQF level, as well as the participants had an opportunity to discuss the current challenges in developing sectoral qualifications frameworks and explore possible solutions.
The seminar was organised in terms of the European Commission project EAC-2012-0080 “Activities of the EQF National Coordination Points with a view to implement the EQF at national level”.
The participation in the seminar was only with invitations.
