Latvian Qualifications Framework levels 1-4: development and enlargement

On March 8 (2013) the Academic information Centre as the National Coordination Point for EQF arranged a seminar„Latvian Qualifications Framework levels 1-4: development and enlargement”, which was held in Riga, Latvia.

The target audience of the seminar was representatives from public institutions related to education, sectoral experts and representatives of other organisations who are interested in improvement of the Latvian Qualifications Framework (LQF). 

The aim of the seminar was to provide participants with the information on experience of other countries in the referencing qualifications to the EQF levels 1-4 and proposals for development of LQF levels 1-4. The participants had an opportunity to discuss the proposals for LQF levels 1-4 developments in general, as well as for vocational education ( including adult further vocational education).

All proposals were discussed and stakeholders supported the submission to the Ministry of Education and Science, Republic of Latvia, the proposals to make changes in regulations that refer to LQF levels 1-4. 

The seminar was organised within the frame of European Commission project  379015-LLP-1-2012-1-LV-KA1-EQ_NCP “Activities of the EQF National Coordination Points with a view to implement the EQF at national level”.

The participation in the seminar was only with invitations.
